Three folk-inspired albums to chill out to
Spend a long summer night kicking back and chilling out to the sound of these three relaxing folk-style albums - perfect for moments of unwinding and introspecting!
Cooee - Messengers

A collaboration between Gunai woman and multidisciplinary artist Kirli Saunders and producer and songwriter Mark Chester Harding, Cooee translates Saunders' poetry into song.
Cooee's album Messengers was unveiled at a launch show at Sydney's Goodspace Gallery on Friday, and featured an exhibition of Mark's portraits of everyone involved in the making of the album.
The beautiful music on this album features instruments such as Yidaki, cello, and violin, making it a fantastic soundtrack for an evening of relaxed contemplation.
Alex Tilley - Sunshine

Originally from southern England, Alex Tilley has spent the past decade travelling Australia and New Zealand. His debut EP Sunshine captures the kind of whimsical easy-listening ambience to accompany a daydream or two.
Opening track Walking in the Dark sets a mood of introspection, and is followed by warm, resonant melodies of light and optimism.
The collection closes with live acoustic track State of Affairs, encouraging personal, vulnerable reflection.
Olivia Lay - Along the Way

Hailing from Gippsland, Olivia Lay is known for her compelling guitar playing and storytelling. Along the Way is her second EP, blending roots, folk and blues with a slight country twang.
Her music is characterised by intricate fingerstyle playing and layered guitar paired with clear vocals and a gentle yet driving percussive groove.
Sit back and relax to any of these three albums!
