Following the release of her sophomore EP Garden of Edie, Perth artist EDIE blurs gothic horror and period drama in the music video for Burning.
It's one of the EP's most emotionally charged songs, tracking the realisation that a relationship has become toxic and the decision to walk away.
Directed by Stephanie Senior, the clip takes place inside a candlelit mansion on a storm-ridden night, where EDIE wanders dimly lit corridors dressed in Renaissance-inspired costume.
Ultimately, EDIE discovers another version of herself hidden inside a wardrobe, a representation of the part of herself lost within the relationship. Together, they escape as the house is left to burn behind them.
