This week's music video is a powerful portrait of the passing of time when you're dealing with chronic illness.

The song and video were written and produced by Perth artist Calida Sari, who lives with fibromyalgia, autism and ADHD.

‘Wasting Time was written during months of severe illness, capturing the suspended reality of chronic illness and disability,' Sari says.

‘Recovery is rarely simple; illnesses linger and days dissolve into hours spent in bed watching life continue elsewhere. The song reflects isolation, frustration, and the unsettling feeling of time passing without you.’

The homemade nature of the video, together with the use of repetition, are effective in conveying the reality of living with chronic illness.
