WEST ENVY
'With Ocean Alley, Sticky Fingers and Arctic Monkeys vibes, the mix makes something completely unique and I just can't get enough. Their newest release No Breaks is about grinding away and getting no relief from it. At their live gigs, they're just all energy - the kind of gig that has you coming back again and again.'
KELVIN'S PLACE
'Two mates from high school who've opened for Great Gable and Lazy Haze. They've got a song about cheese and wine, so what's not to love? Seen them once and was sold straight away. Their earlier songs start off indie, and the latest, Running to You, leans more into rock.'
ASPARAGUS SOOP
'Only found them recently and I've already seen them a few times. Pop punk/psychedelic rock, loud and in your face and built on early 2000s emo, which is exactly my thing. Their gigs are insane. Their EP The Absurdity of Human Existence dropped last year. Play Drown In Haze first.'
KENNY DRIVES
'They don't write a song you can't sing along to. Alt-rock with a garage rock edge. They put me in a good mood every time. Best played with the windows down, driving around with your mates. Start on SSL.'
SUN AFTER DUSK
'High energy indie rock, and they really channel their inner Spacey Jane. There's a nostalgic feel to it. My favourites are their most recent releases Tongue Tied and Something You Know. You can tell the lyrics come from somewhere real.'
