IT'S AN INDIE ARTIST SUPERGROUP!

And they've just announced their forthcoming EP

Meet the current line up of FVNERAL, a trio of independent artists in their own right who you might just recognise!

FVNERAL consists of Madeleine Powers (also known as RAGEFLOWER) and Ben Siva (also known as jnr.) together with frontperson Tay Blunt, who is also the founder of transgender live music series TRANSGENRE.

The band have just announced their upcoming EP chosen family, set for release on the 26th of June. The announcement came as they dropped their new single landline this morning, a collaboration with Melbourne band Bukowski.

‘As someone who grew up on emo music, having Bukowski - one of the best emo bands in the country - bring the song to life with us definitely does something sweet, if not healing, to my inner child,’ Tay says.

'I know it's a heavy one lyrically, but I really hope this song can help trans and queer folks - actually, anyone who finds themself feeling like they’re on the outside in some kind of way - to know that it gets so much better, especially through granting yourself permission to be your truest self.'

Tay describes their forthcoming EP as ‘a collection of songs that explore what it means to navigate the world as a trans and queer person today.’

Also featuring on the EP will be previous track friendly fire, which features Aussie music legend Ben Lee and was released during Trans Awareness Week.

FVNERAL are fresh off the back of supporting Playlunch at their Sydney show, and we're super excited for their upcoming EP release!
