INTENTIONALLY ABSURD AND A BIT DELUSIONAL

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Pretty Moi, ROAD DOG

Dancing to the beat of his own drum around Melbourne, independent rap artist Aqua2Yung plays the starring role in the video for ROAD DOG, a track by 6-piece indie rock band Pretty Moi.

Known for blending 60s psychedelia, classic soul, and global music, Pretty Moi channeled influences from Vampire Weekend, Wet Leg, Djo, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard for the track.

ROAD DOG started as a bunch of old ideas that finally clicked once we leaned into storytelling,” the band says.

“It’s intentionally absurd and a bit delusional, inspired by an old Norm Macdonald joke. We also took a light-hearted approach with this one. It’s fun, it feels great to play live, and that energy shaped the recording.”
