At Grassroots Earworm, we love triple j's annual Hottest 100 - it's fresh, it's fun, and it's a great reflection of what young Aussies are listening to in any given year.

But every year, without fail, the countdown is followed by a ream of pleas for a version that includes Australian music only. 

It's in response to this clear widespread desire for an Australian countdown that we ecstatically introduce Grassroots Earworm's HOMEGROWN HUNDRED!

THE HOMEGROWN HUNDRED is a countdown of the top-voted songs of 2025 by Australian artists only. It includes only original songs (no covers), and is not aimed at a particular demographic, but at music-lovers of all ages.

So get ready to vote for your favourite Australian songs of the year, because voting opens this coming Wednesday, December 3, 2025!

Mark your diaries and keep your eyes peeled for Wednesday's announcement, which will include all the details on how to vote and how the countdown will work.
